I heard from a buddy that if you kneel infront of a statue will exploring he will reward you with some stuff you need to buy 50-100 gold anyone else know about this or is he just trippin !

if you have favor and come across a statue in the world kneeling will bring out the god of that statue and you can make an offering. Generally the offerings make you heal faster and take DP away.

Your friend speaks the truth. You can find statues of the various gods out in the explorable areas. Kneel in front of them and their avatar appears. They will give you a couple of options to buy temporary boosts for some gold. One boost is improved life regen for some time. The other one is a 2% morale boost.

Additionally, the statue of grenth in Lornar's pass can get you to the UW if your region has favor.

ok next part he was telling me that gwen (spelled wrong ?) might still be alive and is in the world somewhere any truth to that?

the storyline has no mention of gwen being alive or dead...though one could safely assume that she is alive based on the fact that we find numerous "gwen items" in other parts of the world. There has been some talk that she is in the underworld...though I don't know if there is any validity to it.

It us unknown if Gwen is still alive or not, but since you still find her stuff scatered around in post searing, I think she is still alive (somone has to be moving around losing this stuff)

However the quest for the tattered shred is still broken so who knows.
